Daniel Day-Lewis in There Will Be Blood, 2007
I finally watched this tonight. It’s one of those films that feels like you’re reading piece of literature with your eyes and ears. I know it’s based loosely on Upton Sinclair’s Oil! but I wish it had its own book. A very well written book. Now that I’ve seen it, I want to read it.
Childhood is not from birth to a certain age and at a certain age
The child is grown, and puts away childish things.
Childhood is the kingdom where nobody dies.
this movie wrecked me

War Horse (2011)
Each character’s time with Joey was quite captivating, but the brothers’ story really managed to resonate with me & wreck me at the same time.
everyone deserves a second chance. this is mine.what is it that makes us human? it’s not something you can program. you can’t put it into a chip. it’s the strength of the human heart. the difference between us and machines.
Warrior (2011)
Just watched this a little while ago, and it was very, very good. I love how it focused more on the relationship of the family than on the fighting. But the fighting was also very realistic and intense. Stories about brothers almost always get to me ;___;
